ZipSearch ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of Shopify merchants who use our app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

Information we collect

Shopify store data

When you install ZipSearch through the Shopify App Store, we receive the permissions you authorize, which may include access to your store's products to enable the one-click import feature. We only access data necessary to operate the app.

Usage data

We may collect anonymized data about how the app is used — such as which features are accessed and search query patterns — to improve the product. This data is not linked to your personal identity.

Contact information

If you contact us for support, we collect the information you provide (name, email) solely to respond to your inquiry.

How we use your information

  • To operate and maintain the ZipSearch app
  • To enable product search and import features
  • To improve and develop new features
  • To respond to support requests

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data with service providers who help us operate the app (such as hosting infrastructure), under strict data processing agreements.

Data retention

We retain store data only as long as ZipSearch is installed on your Shopify store. When you uninstall the app, your data is deleted within 30 days.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

Shopify's role
